Enjoy swimming and skating over the Family Day long weekend

Enjoy ice-skating and swimming at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre during the Family Day long weekend as part of Brantford’s Winter Fun Fest. Revised pool schedules will be in effect January 30 to February 1, 2026 due to a swim meet

The Brantford Aquatic Club is hosting a Regional Swim Meet from Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. As a result, the following revised pool schedules will be in effect. Swim Lessons are not scheduled. The Sauna will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 and will reopen regular hours on Monday, February 2, 2026. 65-metre Pool temperatures will be slightly cooler for three days before and after the swim meet.

Aquatics Programming Open House on January 7 and 8, 2026

Join Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre staff and Ward 3 Councillors Greg Martin and Dan McCreary to discuss updates to aquatics programming including swimming and pool fitness schedules and share your feedback and suggestions to proposed programming enhancements. Drop-in and enjoy public skating over the winter break

Grab your skates and drop-in for fun over the winter break. All ages can enjoy public skating at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre (254 North Park Street) on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 and Wednesday, December 31, 2025 and Lions Park Arena (20 Edge Street) on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Regular rates apply. Children aged 4 and under are free. CSA Helmets are strongly recommended. The use of skating aids and equipment are not permitted on the ice.
