2024 Easter long weekend schedule changes

The following Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre facility schedule changes will be in place for the Easter long weekend from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1, 2024. 

Friday, March 29, 2024: Facility closed

Saturday, March 30, 2024: Facility open regular hours

Sunday, March 31, 2024:

• Arena: open for rentals
• Indoor track: open 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Pools and fitness areas: closed
• Discover Brantford desk: closed

Monday, April 1, 2024:

• Facility open regular hours

City of Brantford arenas are now offering live streaming service for sports organizations

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford arenas are now LiveBarn venues. If you can’t make it to the facility for a game or competition, you can stay connected by watching events live and on demand through live streaming technology available in all City of Brantford operated arenas including the Brantford and District Civic Centre, Lions Park arena and the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.

The 65m pool will be closed on February 27, 2024

The 65m pool will be closed on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 until further notice due to poor water clarity. The team is working hard to fix the issue as soon as possible. Swimming lessons will continue as scheduled in the 25m pool. 

Revised schedules for Tuesday, February 27, 2024:

• 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Length swim will take place in the 25m pool, with 8 lanes available
• 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Hydrotherapy Pool drop-in will be available
• 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Shallow Water Walking will be CANCELLED

Special Olympics Brantford is hosting a swim meet on March 3, 2024

Special Olympics Brantford is hosting a swim meet in our facility on Sunday March 3, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Length Swim from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. will be cancelled. The sauna will be closed during the meet. Swim lessons and all other swim and pool fitness programming will run as scheduled. Pool temperatures will not be affected.
